Remembering Eleanor Grace Whitmore

Eleanor Grace Whitmore passed peacefully surrounded by her family after a life defined by compassion, devotion, and service to others.
Born in 1948, Eleanor spent more than three decades as an elementary school teacher, where she became known for her patience, warmth, and ability to make every child feel seen. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, church volunteer, and neighborhood friend who believed every person deserved dignity and encouragement. Her home was known for handwritten notes, fresh coffee, and the kind of conversations that made people linger a little longer. Eleanor leaves behind a family who loved her deeply, a community strengthened by her example, and countless students who still carry her lessons with them.
